Panama is an isthmus that unites South America and Central America, bordered to the east by Colombia, to the west by Costa Rica, to the north by the Caribbean Sea and to the south by the Pacific Ocean. This strategic geographic position in the center of the American continent, together with a multi-platform transport infrastructure, a highly connected logistics sector, a stable dollarized economy, and a strong financial and services sectors, make Panama an essential point for trade. As if this were not enough, in recent years the country has put forth various tax incentive policies for foreign companies that want to do business in Panama, and entered into a Free Trade Agreement with Israel that went into effect on January 1, 2020.
